G’day, I’m Justine.
I’ve spent the last 15 years dealing with my own mental health stuff. It kicked off after a pretty unhealthy relationship, when I realised I wasn’t myself anymore and thought, “What the hell’s going on in my head?” I needed answers, and I worked hard to get them.
These days I live in Central Queensland. I’m married, I’ve got two great kids, and I work supporting blokes who are doing it tough.
One thing I’ve seen again and again is how bad men’s mental health support can be — especially in rural areas. It’s hard to find help that’s easy to access, actually useful, and doesn’t make you feel judged or talked down to. The suicide stats for men are ugly, and most of us know someone who’s been lost this way.
There’s a lot of mixed messages out there about how men are “supposed” to be. When life starts going sideways, it’s not always clear how you’re meant to deal with it — or who you’re allowed to talk to — without being told you’re the problem.
That’s where I can help.
I work with blokes who want to get their head back on straight and make day-to-day life easier to handle. No therapy talk. No labels. No bullshit. Just honest conversations and practical support that actually fits real life.
We focus on what’s going on for you and what you want to change. That might be stress, anxiety, feeling flat, anger, relationship issues, past stuff that won’t let go, disability, or big life changes. We take it one step at a time, at your pace. It’s private, straight-up, and judgement-free.
Think of it like seeing a doctor. You tell them what hurts, they help work out why, and then you sort out what to do about it. This is the same idea — just focused on what’s happening in your head and your life.
I’m a Peer Support Practitioner and a Level 2 Counsellor, registered with the ACA. My job isn’t to fix you — it’s to back you while you work out what’s going on and how to move forward in a way that actually works for you.
I believe most people are stronger than they think. Sometimes they just need someone in their corner. When we work together, we keep things practical and focused on helping you feel more grounded, more confident, and more in control of your own life.
I mainly work with blokes and teens, but I’m happy to sit down with anyone who needs someone to talk to. I’ve also got a strong background in healthy relationships and domestic violence education, and I care a lot about helping people take their lives back.
